Your animations are pretty awesome, too, and really get your stories to come alive. How did you learn animation? Any recommendations for YouTubers who want to think about animating their videos, too?

Thank you very much! I’m self taught, I’ve always drawn cartoon doodles in my school note books and I’ve just have been watching YouTube tutorials to try and get better and hone the skill more and more. My advice to people who want to get into animation is “Just start”! If you’re afraid people will judge you or that you’re not good enough, those feeling will never go away. But it lessens with every video you post. Doesn’t matter if the animations are on a piece of paper, or the highest quality type of animation, it doesn’t matter, just do it and let yourself grow with the videos.

Was it hard getting your channel off the ground? How did you manage to do it?

It was hard, but it also was a different time on YouTube. I made videos based on trends in my own way satire way to get views. I think the best way to grow is to do collaborations with people! It helps new people discover you at a much faster rate. Overall the real key to success (in my opinion) is make good content, make as much of it as you can, be passionate about what you’re talking about or making and people will notice you.

What video did you enjoy creating the most and why?

The video I enjoyed creating the most would probably have to be the video titled “so I got drunk, and bought myself a mystery box”. It was just so fun to make and interesting way to infuse animation into a vlogging/realityTV style video.

What is one of the best comments you got from a fan? What video was it on and why?

Oh boy, I actually have nothing that comes to mind, but my favorite type of comment are when they share their experiences/stories with me.

Hey Elijah, thanks for joining Worthyt! Your storytelling is really amazing. How did you first start practicing storytelling and get so good at it?

Thank you! At first it started through writing short stories, then through performing magic tricks growing up and then I just kept practicing!

Do you usually plan your releases for your videos, or just make them when you have an idea? Which strategy would you recommend?

I have a loose schedule, I plan videos for the year and then switch out the ones as the date gets closer, depending on what’s going on in my life or for a better video idea. I try to aim for once a week and put the video out no matter what. But it’s different for everyone, do what makes you comfortable.
